Treatment
It is a titanium screw placed on the jawbone to make a prosthesis on tooth deficiencies. After fusing with the bone, prosthesis can be made on the implant, which acts as a tooth root, without damaging the side teeth. In case of missing more than one tooth, removable and fixed prostheses can be made depending on the patient’s preference and sometimes the suitability of the jawbone. It takes 15-20 minutes for an average implant to be placed in the jawbone.
How does the implant treatment process progress?
If the implant treatment is suitable for the jawbone and there is no need for any extra surgical procedure; The first stage is the implant, the next stage is the prosthesis on the implant, and it is completed in 2 stages. The waiting period for the implant to fuse with the bone is 2 months in the lower jaw and 3 months in the upper jaw. If any bone powder treatment has been applied, this waiting period will be 4-6 months.
Advantages of implant treatment
It is much more aesthetic in the long run. There is no possibility of rotting. There is no need to cut neighboring threads. It is more hygienic than a bridge and easier to clean. As long as oral hygiene is taken care of and routine controls are made, the implant can provide long-term use.
